John Cutrone Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on Aug. 26, 2024.
John Felix Cutrone, affectionately known as "Pop," passed away on August 8, 2024, in Lompoc, California, at the age of 61. Born on October 6, 1962, in Wheeling, West Virginia, he lived a life marked by dedication to his family, his country, and his passions.

John proudly served in the Army Infantry for 20 years, where he was recognized as a sharpshooter and was integral in operating Armored Personnel Carriers (APCs), ensuring the safe transport of infantry into battle zones.

Following his military service, he channeled his leadership and organizational skills into his own business, JC's Moving Services, which specialized in assisting San Diego military families with their relocation needs.

Beyond his professional life, John was a vibrant man with a passion for life. He was a proud Catholic. He was a vibrant part of his community, often found singing country songs on his front porch and sharing laughter with those around him. His hobbies were as dynamic as his personality, ranging from a passion for classic cars, motorcycles, and dirt bikes to quieter pursuits like fishing, boating, and gardening. John was also an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers, he loved to cheer on his favorite football team.

John is survived by his wife of 43 years, Pamela; his son, Douglas, and daughter-in-law, Jessica; and his beloved grandchildren, Mackenzie, Jacob, and Keiara, who affectionately knew him as Pop. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mary Agnes and Felix Cutrone.

A service to honor John's life will be held at the Lompoc Cemetery District on August 27, 2024. The family has entrusted Starbuck-Lind Mortuary in Lompoc, CA, with the funeral arrangements.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Red Cross in memory of John, honoring his life of service and care for others. John's legacy of laughter, love, and dedication will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
