deVRIES _ John Drewes John Drewes deVries passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on March 24, 2004, at the age of 77 years. John is survived by his loving wife of fifty-four years, Agnes; his children, Meina (Art) Dubetz, Jack (Anne) deVries and John (Stacey and son Zachary) deVries; his beloved grandchildren, Darcy, Michael, Kelsey, Michelle (Kyle), Rachelle and Jordana; his great-granddaughter Samantha; as well as his brother Drew (Dini) and their family. John was predeceased by his grandson Jordan in 1983. John had a successful and distinguished career in the construction industry. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and respected him. John's family would like to express their appreciation for the sensitive care provided by the staff at the George Boyack Nursing Home and to Units 7 and 8 at the Bethany Care Centre; as well as Dr. Gladman and Pastor Bart Keefer. A Memorial Service will be held in the Chapel of MOUNTAIN VIEW FUNERAL HOME on Wednesday, March 31, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Alzheimer's Society of Calgary (No. 201, 222 - 58 Avenue S.W., Calgary, AB T2H 2S3).
