JOHN S., SR.
John S. Dino, Sr., 80, of Canonsburg, died on Thursday, November 3, 2005 at the Washington Hospital. He was born on May 23, 1925 in Canonsburg to Salvatore Dino and Rosario Livolsi Dino who preceded him in death. On June 24, 1950, he married Bessie Hopkinson. They were married for 52 years until her death on June 1, 2002. Mr. Dino was a self-employed contractor who worked in the construction business. He was a veteran who served in the U.S. Army in WWII and the 79th Engineer Corps. Mr. Dino was Roman Catholic and was a member of St. Patrick Roman Catholic Church in Canonsburg. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and flying. He built a hovercraft with a friend. He had a great love for his children and also enjoyed being around all children. He was a loving grandfather and great-grandfather. He is survived by six children, Kate McNary of Washington, Rosemary Qualters and her husband Tom of Bethel Park, Salvatore Dino and his wife Ann of Canonsburg, Joan Barringer and her husband Harry of Canonsburg, John S. Dino, Jr. and his wife Margaret of Canonsburg and Joe Dino who lived at home with his father in Canonsburg. Also surviving are one sister, Lee Alison of San Clemente of California; one brother, Lou Dino of Canonsburg; five grandchildren, Ron McNary, Mimi Thompson, George Kunkle who was his grandfather's caregiver, Taylor Ann Dino, Hayley Marie Dino; two great grandchildren, Soren and Sloan McNary and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Mary Mendosa, Angie Schmutz and two brothers, Joe Dino and one who died in infancy. Friends will be received 2-4 & 7-9 pm on Saturday and Sunday at   the      MARIO L. DeANGELO FUNERAL HOME, 194 E. College St., Canonsburg. A Blessing Service will be held at the funeral home at 11:00 am on Monday, Nov. 7, 2005. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Garden Cemetery in McMurray.
