It was many years ago, but I still remember how kind Mr. Doherty was to me. My deepest sympathy to you all.

We were saddened to hear of John's Passing a few days ago. Our prayers are with all of John's family and friends. There will never be another man with John's steel knowledge, talent and the will to succeed. He truly was a great man in the steel industry and yet was so caring of his family and those around him. He was a pillar of strength in businesss and yet had time to be generous with those less fortunate but willing to work their way up in life. His concerns about todays youth and educational programs available at our Catholic Schools, and all our schools; reflected his desire to develop the educated workforce for tomorrow. Truly a man of vision and always a man of faith, you will be missed by many, old friend.
