John Dugan Obituary
Mr. Dugan was born in Tannery, Kentucky November 29, 1928 to the late John and Sarah (Sally) Frances Wiley Dugan. Mr. Dugan was an oiler for Standard Products in Port Clinton, Ohio for 32 years. Was also a very good musician. Attended the House of Prayer in Garrison, Ky.
Surviving are his wife of 61 years, Sophia Cathyrn Bevens Dugan of Garrison, Ky. whom he married October 6, 1948 in Garrison, Ky.; three sons, John Dugan-Garrison, Ky., James (Paula) Dugan of Port Clinton, Ohio, and Paul Ray (Diane) Dugan of Port Clinton, Ohio; three daughters, Bonnie Ellithorpe of Vanceburg, Ky., Brenda (Lester) Rister of Oak Harbor, Ohio, and Marylin Parker- Tiffin, Ohio; brother-in-law, Doyle Whitten Toledo, Ohio; 25 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren; several neices and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death, besides his parents, by two brothers, Mart Dugan and Jim Dugan; and two sisters, Goldie Whitten and Laura Hurst.
Funeral services will be Monday January 18, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Gaydos Funeral Home 159 2nd Street Vanceburg, ky. 41179 with Rev. Wilma Erwin officiating. Burial will be in the Cooper-Willis Cemetery Garrison, Ky.
Visitation will be Sunday from 5-9 p.m. and from 8:00 a.m. until time of services Monday at the Gaydos Funeral Home.
