Bart and David
Sorry to hear about your Dad. He was always nice to me when I used to help out at the funeral home. He always had a way to make people comfortable and to get a laugh out of them.
I remember John coming to the furniture store with a picnic basket and taking your Mom out for lunch.
He was a caring person and will be deeply missed. Cherish the time you had with him

Good memories of John from riding bikes as kids behind the funeral home (the first paved driveway in the neighborhood) to innumerable visiting hours and services where his calm greeting and warm smile made difficult occasions a little easier. He will be missed.

John was a long time friend and best man at our wedding in 1964. His parents, Donald and Ella, were especially kind to us during the many years of our friendship.John and his wife, Sandra, were our close high school friends and were very caring people who we will remember always. In October,2012,we visited John in the hospital in Houlton and continued to communicate with him until his death. We will miss him and all that he meant to us. Our sympathies go out to the Dunn family at this time.

John had a special wit about him that I always admired. John was a giver not a taker. He was a doer not a follower. I have missed him dearly this last year, but will cherish the time I spent with him in the past. I considerate it an honor to have been a friend. My memories have and will continue to give me peace. I only hope that is true for all of his family and friends. John was respected. He was looked up to by the younger generation as well as his peers. John's eyes always would light up when speaking of his grandchildren. John, rest in peace. Your legacy will live on forever.
