JOHN EGAN Obituary
JOHN
Of Allison Park, passed away on October 28, 2015, surrounded by his family. Born October 16, 1949, in Youngstown, Ohio. Son of the late Robert and Ellen Egan. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Beth (Anderson) Egan of 44 years; loving father of Heather (Frank) McCoy and Holli (Todd) Shaw; Bubba to Carson, Kylie, and Brayden McCoy and Austin and Tyler Shaw; brother to Janet Cherol, Bill (Janet) Egan, Patty (Dan) Colucci, and Diane Wilcox; brother-in-law to Glenn (Jackie) Anderson; uncle to four nephews and six nieces. John retired in 2012, from CVS/Caremark where he was a Director in the IT department. He enjoyed fishing, golfing, reading and telling jokes. He never missed a beat with his sarcasm. Most of all, he loved spending time with the joys of his life, his five grandchildren. He was truly a selfless man who lived every day of his life for his family. A Memorial Service will be held at Glenshaw Presbyterian Church on Saturday, November 7, 2015, at 11 a.m. Friends and family will be received at 10 a.m. 300 Glenn Ave., Glenshaw. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John's name to CancerCare (Online donations or mail-in donation form: www. cancercarecopay.org) or to Denise's People (Online donations: www.denises people.org). Mail donations to 134 Winterwood Dr., Butler, PA 16001. Arrangements by the BOCK FUNERAL HOME, LTD., Glenshaw.

Its hard to imagine that it has been 4 years since John's passing. I have to say that after allowing me to transfer to his team, I was always treated with respect and kindness.
He was a great mentor and i learned a lot from him just by observing his interaction with others. An absolute awesome manager and even a better human being. John you are missed, most sincerely

You probably dont even know who i am, however John (your father, husband etc...) offered me employment (change of positions)
while I was working at BCWPA, Highmark and for that I will be eternally grateful.
I respected and admired him as a superior as well as a person. May his soul be with God and may he rest in peace.

I worked for John at Highmark for 10 years. My deepest sympathies to all of John's family members. He was certainly everything described, as my memories of him are fond, kind, good ones. He is now with God and I am sure he is sharing his humor up there.
