JOHN FALKOWSKY
1914 - 2015
The family of John Falkowsky is saddened to announce his passing on September 28, 2015 at the age of 101. John was born August 28, 1914 in Ufa, Russia. He was the son of Johann and Paulina Falkowsky. His family moved to Germany before coming to Saskatchewan in 1928. John helped his parents on the farms at Goodeve, Sask. and then at Mehan, Sask., north of Yorkton, after they moved there in 1933. On February 17, 1942 he was united in marriage to Doris McLachlan in Yorkton. They farmed and he was also a rural Telephone Man for the North Yorkton and Ebenezer telephone companies for 26 years. He moved to Saskatoon in 2003. He was predeceased by his parents Paulina and Johann, his beloved wife Doris in 1981, his siblings Martha, Jacob, Alex, Marie, David, Herb and Alf, and two great-grandchildren. He leaves to mourn his passing, three sons, Ron (Shirley), Alan (Jane), Len (Delores), his cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren and his three sisters-in- law. He will also be remembered by his extended family and friends whose hearts he has touched. A memorial lunch will be held October 24, 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. in the Saskatoon French School gymnasium, 1441 Wellington St., Saskatoon. A private interment will take place in Yorkton. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Villa Royale and St. Joseph's Home for the exceptional care that they gave to John.
