FAULKINS John L. Faulkins, age 87, beloved husband of the late Irene Schatz Faulkins, died on Monday, July 28, 2003, at Mediplex of Southern Connecticut, Milford. Son of the late Louis and Sarah Welch Faulkins, he was born on June 12, 1916, in Bridgeport, and was a resident of Milford for 40 years. He was an electrician at Sikorsky Aircraft in Stratford until his retirement. Mr. Faulkins was a member and organist of the Masonic Lodges Corinthian #104 AF&AM and Hamilton Commanery #5 Knights Templar; a member of the Masonic Lodges Baldwin Chapter #13 RAM and Jerusalem Council #16 R&SM; a member of the Connecticut Historical Automobile Society, the Crankin' Yankees Model "T" Ford Club, and the Milford Senior Center. He is survived by three sisters-in-law, Betty Leach of Wayne, N.J., Catherine Springsteen of Milford, and Evelyn Owens of Ashburn, Va.; two cousins, Bettina Canfield and Fredrica Smith, both of Kentucky; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two brothers, Wallace W. and Donald H. Faulkins. A funeral service will be held at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad Street on the Green, Milford, on Friday, August 1, 2003, at 6 p.m. A Masonic service will be held at 5:45 p.m. Committal will be private. Friends may call on Friday from 4 to 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 300 Research Parkway, Meriden, CT 06450.
