Stuart - John P. Forde of Palm City, FL passed away on May 30, 2024. He is survived by his four children Mark (Mary) of Vienna, VA; Tara (Sean) of Doylestown, PA; Patrick (Erin) of West Chester, PA; and John (Heather) of North Wales, PA; along with eleven grandchildren and four great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his sisters Theresa Mullaney of Staten Island, NY and Nancy DeFeo of Winter Haven, FL. Jack was born to Mary and John Forde in Brooklyn, NY on June 17, 1933. Upon graduation from Brooklyn Technical High School, he joined the Air Force and served in the Korean Conflict as an airborne radio operator. He was a graduate of the New Jersey Institute of Technology and spent the majority of his career in manufacturing and sales in the burgeoning cable television industry. He began his career in the communication industry at the famous Bell Labs. After Bell Labs, Jack spent many years at Jerrold Electronics, a division of General Instruments. He started as an engineer and later transitioned to the sales team and then Vice President of Sales. For the last 18 years of his career, he joined Times Fiber Communications, of Wallingford, CT, as Vice President of Sales and retired as President and COO. Upon retirement, Jack moved to Palm City, FL where he was active in the Harbour Ridge Yacht and Country Club; served as chairman of the Cleveland Clinic Martin Health Foundation; and was a member of the Community Foundation Martin-St.Lucie. Jack will be remembered for his infectious laugh, quick wit, strong work ethic, and the love of boating and the water. Services will be scheduled at a later date. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Jack's name to the foundations noted above.
