John Lee Garfield, Sr., 48 of Nelson County passed away Wednesday, September 20, 2017 at his home surrounded by his wife, children, and family.
Born on November 16, 1968 he was a son of the late William T. and Brenda Harvey Hall.
John is survived by his wife and soul mate Angel and their children, John Garfield, Jr., Devin Garfield, Ethan Garfield, Samantha Garfield and her fiancé Justin Goolsby, Brittany Garfield, Katherine Garfield, Abigail Garfield, and Elana Garfield; sons, Brandon Garfield and John P. Garfield; daughter-in-law, Krista Stinnett; granddaughter, Annabelle Garfield; sisters, Debbie Garfield and Anne Tulbert; and brothers, William Hall and Steve Hammons. John is also survived by a granddaughter who is expected to arrive in December and numerous friends, who loved John, like a brother. He will also be sorely missed by his fishing brother Mark Gibson.
He loved his family so much and the opportunity to spend time with them. He also enjoyed every opportunity to drink a cold beer on the riverbank while catching catfish.
A memorial service and celebration of John’s life will be held 3:00 pm Saturday, September 30, 2017 at Teague Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
