John B Gieske age 69 of Apopka, FL passed away on July 23, 2015 at Florida Hospital Apopka after short illness. He was born on March 10, 1946, Rochelle, IL to Helen and Willard (Bill) Gieske. John graduated from Rochelle High School and University of Tampa with a Bachelors of Science, Business, Economics. He served in The United States Air Force. He was He married Dianne. Gieske, June 17, 1978 at the Maitland Art Center. Over the years Mr. Gieske lived in Rochelle, IL, Denver, CO, Boynton Beach, FL and Apopka, FL. He was a member of the Boy Scouts of America, Antique Motorcycle Club of America. He was a Motorcycle Enthusiast specifically Harley Davidson where he was a lifetime member Harley Owners Club. John was also a Motor Sports fan. Mr. Gieske is predecease in death by Helen Gieske (mother) Mary Lou Mueller (sister) Dorthea Gieske (step-mother) Bill Gieske (father) David Gieske (brother), cousins Tom Carmichael (Lynn), JoAnn Franklin (Richard), Randy Brauer (Pat),Cherie Brauer. He is survived by his wife Dianne Gieske, Shepard Gieske pet, cousins Jim Carmichael ( Renelle), Paul Carmichael (Mary Ann), Carol Hayenga (Roger), Lynn Carmichael (Tom), Richard Franklin (JoAnn), Connie Lou Chaney (Charles), Parker Brauer (Mary), Allyn Brauer (Kathy Wood), Pat Brauer (Randy).A Celebration of John’s Life will be held on Saturday August 8, 2015 at One o’clock in the afternoon at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home 601 N. Park Avenue, Apopka FL 32712. Casual attire: Harley shirts welcome John was the Friendliest, Handsome, Kind, Loving and Intelligent. Always smiling and will be missed by his family and friends.Memorial Contributions may be made to Florida Cancer Specialists Foundation, 5202 Paylor Lane, Sarasota, FL 34240.

I worked with John back in the '70s building greenhouses. He was a great boss and a great friend. We had many good times together. It is obvious by the photos John had a very loving family and a happy life. Our deepest sympathy to Dianne.
