I am very saddened to hear of John's passing. I worked with John and found him to be professional, caring and compassionate. Whenever our paths crossed John would always stop to chat, tell a story and share a few laughs, then he would be off with a smile and a wave. I will miss seeing John in the neighbourhood.

Dear Glasgows,
We did it. We celebrated one of the most incredible people ever in existence. Irreplaceable. I am so grateful to have had the honor of knowing him as a brotherly friend.
I am equally grateful that you are still here carry his legacy forward. And I want to continue to be part of the family of people who love you as dearly as we loved him.
Thank you for all the effort you put into making his memorial a very special day for all of us. Love you.

Dearest Fran Cameron & Heather
Sad and vexed the we have lost John, and equally so that you are all left without him in your lives. He lived his values with you all by his side and you will live them going forward. I hope and pray he left you all his huge internal strength to get through this. As well as his sense of values and zest for life, he would want you all to own those things and make the most of your lives.
With deepest sadness and overwhelming love

Glasgow family - my sincerest condolences. Suffice it to say I wish I had been able to spend more time with John. Though many years have passed since I last saw him, he left an indelible impression on me with his unmatched kindness, wit and knack for storytelling. I've truly never met anyone like him and doubt I ever will again. I regret I will be unable to attend the service but know I will be thinking of all of you next Sunday. All my best.

Dear Fran, Heather, Cam
There are no words to express how sorry and saddened Linda and I are to hear of John's passing. Our deepest sympathy goes out to you and your family as you struggle through the grief and sadness.
John was a true friend and colleague, I will miss his humour, wit, and the dialogue we shared together, as well as Johns annual beer advent blog that gave us so much joy every Christmas
As you know, Linda and I are out of the country and will not be able to attend the service.
With much love and sympathy, Tom and Linda Hengen

Fran, Cameron & Heather - Such a shock for everyone to lose our dear John. He was pure love and devoted to you and the rest of his family. There are no words to heal your broken hearts right now. I just feel so blessed to have known him and had the opportunity to visit in October after so many years apart. A smile crosses my face when I think of him though as all my memories are sweet!

A loving husband and father, and a dear friend forever. John was and will always remain a man above men and the warmest, smartest, and funniest person I have ever met. Never held it against me that I'm a "Yank" - although he certainly could have! I will always love him and will miss him tremendously. Sending all my love and best wishes to Fran, Heather and Cameron.
