John D. Green Sr.

John D. Green Sr., 65 years old of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, passed away, Tuesday, June 17, 2014, at North Oaks Medical Center. He was born on Monday, April 18, 1949, in Fort Worth, Texas. A proud United States Marine that volunteered to serve his country in its time of need. As an athlete he was passionate about his Texas Rangers, Dallas Cowboys, the Texas Longhorns and his LSU Tigers. He loved and lived his life to the fullest. Surviving are his mother, Edalue Curtis Green, son, John D. Green Jr., daughter, Marsha Green, sister, Ginger G. Green, wife, Marcy L. Green. He is preceded in death by his father, Hugh Monk Green.. Friends will be received Saturday, June 21, 2014 from 8:00 am until Funeral Service begins at 11:00 am at Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home - Ponchatoula .
