John was my friend and classmate. John was one of the most pleasant and good natured people, one could ever be around. A great radio announcer with that wonderful voice.
My sincere condolences to members of John's family.

I just heard this so I'm sending my deepest condolences. John was one of my favorite co-workers at Glynn County PD. We shared many good memories and some of the best pizza I ever ate. We became fast friends on FB and I always looked forward to his spirited comments and engaging conversations. He will be missed very, very much. Again, I'm so very sorry for your loss. Sincerely, Jo and Warren McDowell

John was a first cousin and would come to Findlay Ohio to visit our grandmother during the summer., He introduced me to Mad magazine and good movies. When he was on the air at WFOB FM he would take my music requests.Even though I was 4 years younger he treated me as a contemporary. After John moved south contact was infrequent.Whenever I listen to the radio or see a re-run of Ben Hur I think of those fond summer memories.

Nancy,
John and I were first loves. We then became best friends. Don"t use FB and lost track of him. He was loving and gentle as I am sure you know. I think of him often. Now I can talk to him and he will hear me. You are a lucky woman to have had him all these years. My prayers are with you all.

John Gregory, dear friend, you'll always be "Big bad John, the gentle giant" to me for your kindness to this, then, short and skinny kid at Fostoria H.S. I have fond memories of driving out to WFOB on Sat. nights to help you select and refile 45s during your DJ program. Reconnecting with you via Facebook after 50 years was a joy. Heaven is sweeter today, and I bet it has a 'rockin" radio station in your area playing ;the Classics." You will be sorely missed. Nancy, David & Russell, although we've never met, you are in our thoughts and prayers during this time of loss. Grace & Peace. Dr. J. Michael (Mike) Crabtree, Oklahoma City, OK

Going to miss you my friend. Enjoyed working with you at GCPD when you were in dispatch and joining you under the sally port for a smoke when breaks allowed it. Thank you for the info on the open heart surgery the night before I had to undergo it. You calmed my nerves somewhat. RIP John.
