John Hamilton, 75, died unexpectedly in his bed the night of May 20th, 2022. He was the son of the late George and Helen Hamilton of Merrimack, NH. John grew up in Woburn, MA and graduated Arlington Catholic High School in 1965. He attended Northeastern University before switching to University of Massachusetts where he received his degree in political science in 1971. John was bit of a “rolling stone”, he lived in Boston, Los Angeles (in an experimental suburban commune) then to St Lawrence, KS, back to Boston then to Merrimack. He married his former wife Michele in 1979 and moved to Manchester where he worked for the Manchester School Department as a custodian. In 1985 Michele, Jay and himself moved to San Francisco where they lived until 2003. Illness forced a move to Las Vagas, NV until homesickness brought them back to Nashua, NH and most recently in Manchester.
John is survived by his sister Susan Hamilton of Merrimack, a brother Stephen Hamilton of the Villages, FL, his former wife of 30 years Michele Routhier Hamilton and his former stepson Jay Raymond of Post Falls, ID, a niece Christina Ristucia and a nephew Andrew Hamilton of Ludlow, MA.
