John Heyl Jr Obituary
Born December 13, 1928 in Cincinnati, OH son of the late John and Edna (Mersfelder) Heyl. He lived in Wrightstown, PA for many years prior to moving to Tuftonboro in 1976.
Mr. Heyl served his country with the United States Army as an MP and worked many years as a stock broker most recently for Merrill Lynch.
He was a longtime volunteer at Huggins Hospital and loved Tennis and Softball.
Survivors include his wife Lydia (Wiegand) Heyl of Tuftonboro, a son John K. Heyl III of New Durham, a daughter Virginia "Jody" Ellen Petit of Priest Lake, ID and 2 grandchil

Our deepest condolences to the Heyl family. John’s love of music and old records, especially 78 rpm jazz records, were what first introduced me to him when I became music director at Kingswood Regional HS in 1979. Over the years we kept in touch, later at the Mirror Lake Post Office, as we both live on Tuftonboro Neck. He always had interesting stories and knew his big bands. Thank you John for the many memories.

My deepest sympathy to John's family and friends. Although I did not know John well, I really enjoyed meeting him and talking to him. He was an interesting person and a delight to know. I am sure he will be greatly missed.
