I just learned of this. Taken away far too soon. I am saddened and send my condolences to his family and friends. I worked alongside John in Colorado Springs - and we definitely shared a few laughs. His smile and personality I remember and always will. Peace and strength to all who knew him. Rest in peace John.

I did not know John Michael personally but I know Ashley. When I discovered John was of The Order, and my brethren, I knew the world had lost a great man of integrity. However, this same world is very blessed to have Ashley- a strong, beautiful, and great woman in her own right, a rose to whom I send my deepest sympathy, condolences, and love. I care, and you are in my prayers. Dieu et les dames.

John was one of my favorite people. He was so kind to my husband, Greg, who, was very ill at the time. Thank you John...You are very loved

I enjoyed some years with John when we were younger and more agile. His curiosity always made for good conversation and thoughtful comments. John was one of the first REAL LISTENERS I ever encountered. John would listen and ask questions that proves his listening ability and interest in who anyone he was with truly was.

John was a dear friend and is a dear soul. He deserved every bit of goodness that came his way in this life. It was an adventure and an honor to be his friend.
He is brilliant and free.

Although we went our separate ways after high school, we were in the same homeroom for four years at Lamar, and I always will remember how kind he was to me. I was that awkward kid trying to find my place and he always talked to me and made me smile. I´ll never forget his smile. Condolences to the family.

I am grateful for my friendship with John at Lamar High School. He turned me on to great music B-52s, Pink Floyd, and laughing at Lake Wobegon. Every time I swim I remember John and Mike encouraging and teaching me the proper technique. And they somehow somehow convinced me to participate in a triathlon! May you remember his joy and laughter!

John was one of a kind and one of the nicest people. May his memory be a blessing.
