Lois Ring

Lois P. Ring November 9, 2022 Lois P. Ring, "Aunt Pete," 96, of Willsboro, NY, formerly of Kirkville, NY, passed away on November 9th. She was born in Oswego on March 14, 1926 to Nathaniel and Harriet (Chase) Parks. Lois was predeceased by her husband of 63 years, Norbert; and sister, Jane. She is survived by her daughter, Peggy and son, John (Nancy) Ring; grandchildren, Sheridan Garner Jr and fiance Amanda Leroux and Rebecca (John) Minckler. She is also survived by step-grandchildren, Susan (David) Broskie, James (Dawn) Lapsely, Melissa (Troy) Jones, and step-granddaughter Kaylin Burke; seven nieces and nephews; and beloved friends, Jim and Sue D'Agostino, Jim and Sue Miller, and Mary Derringer. Lois was a studious homemaker, local part time waitress, and gifted seamstress at her sister's shop. She was immensely involved in her children's lives and further extended herself in many volunteering and successful fundraising roles. She was a Girl Scout leader and played a pivotal role in developing Twin Pines Day Camp. She further occupied her time as a member and past secretary at Arrowhead Golf Course. She was a communicant of St. Mary's Church in Minoa, a member of the Altar Rosary Society and the bereavement committee. We would like to thank the staff of Champlain Valley Senior Community for their care during her years there. We would also like to thank Neil Hamilton of Hamilton Funeral Home, Peru, N.Y. for his exceptional handling of the arrangements here. Funeral services will be held at St. Mary's Church, 401 N. Main St., Minoa, NY on December 10th. Visitation will begin at 10:00 am, the funeral Mass at 11:00 am, with burial to follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in Minoa.
