I was very sorry to hear that David had died. I first met him and Nancy back in the 50's when they lived in Deep River, and my late husband and I enjoyed many happy hours with them. My sympathy goes to his family and friends.

It was my benefit to have contact with David through my daughter, through the war museum and through his daughter. Thankfully I was able to drop by yesterday and see the family. It was good to be reminded of all the people in David's life and to meet those that I had not met before. I wish I could have spent more time with David listening to his wealth of knowledge. With heart felt condolences to all. Jerry

David had wonderful stories to tell, and he told them in such a cativating way, you held on to his every word.
I'm very happy to have had the chance to work alongside him at the CWM. May he rest in peace and all my condolences to family and friends.

So sorry to hear about the loss of David. I had known him since he moved to Redwoods and he was included in many of our family events. I met him often when I visited my aunt. He will be missed.

David was a role model to the youth who were fortunate enough to meet him. He impacted countless lives with his stories and humour. I am blessed to have met and worked with such a remarkable man. I always looked forward to eating my lunch with him and the A-Team. My condolences to his loved ones. What a terrible loss.

David was a fine gentleman, a respected naval officer, a charming member of the "A-team", and my friend. He will be missed at the CWM. God bless him. Sincerely, Tim Smith

I've known David for 8 years and I am most grateful to have had a chance to do so.
Last Nov. 11, he made it out to the war museum one last time and we were all glad to see him, I'm happy to say that he was a guest in Memorial Hall for the 11th hour.
And he was pushed around the galleries by my father for a few hours after.
He will be missed by many.
