John Lewis Hutchings

John L. Hutchings, 87, of Paris, passed away Saturday, Nov. 24, 2018, at Paris Regional Medical Center.
Bright-Holland Funeral Home has scheduled graveside services for 11:00 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 29th, at Evergreen Cemetery with Dr. Tim Reger officiating.
John, the son of Henry Clay Hutchings and Nettie Maud Lee Hutchings, was born Sept. 5, 1931, in Paris.
He graduated from Paris High School. He worked a number of years at Sherwin-Williams Paint Company. His career in the insurance industry, working with Prudential Insurance and American National Insurance Company, spanned thirty-five years before his retirement.
John was a member of First Christian Church in Paris.
On Dec. 18, 1958, he married Dorothy Bowman, building fifty-three years of family and memories before her death on Dec. 23, 2011. He was also preceded in death by his parents and all his siblings.
Survivors include his son, John Robert Hutchings & wife Tracey of Paris, two granddaughters, Olivia Hutchings and Leah Hutchings both of Paris along with several nieces & nephews including Jim Mills of Paris.
