Salvatore "Sal" Popolillo Jr.

Salvatore "Sal" Popolillo Jr. of Gillette, N.J., died suddenly at home on Feb. 20, 2012. He was 55. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St. Rose of Lima Church, 50 Short Hills Ave., Short Hills, N.J., on Saturday, Feb. 25, at 12:30 p.m. Interment is private. Sal had a career in the food business. Most recently, he was the regional sales manager at JFE Shoji Trade America Inc. He was an energetic volunteer and devoted many hours to the Long Hill Recreation Department. Sal is survived by his wife, Carla; children, Salvatore III and Guiliana; brother, Michael Popolillo and wife, Allison; sister, Ruth Meyer, and nephews, Gregory Meyer and Kenneth Meyer; his brother-in-law, Adolph Sommela, and nephew, Gabriel Sommela; mother-in-law, Selma Green, and many aunts, uncles and cousins who will miss him dearly. In lieu of flowers, donations in Sal's memory may be made to an education fund for Sal III and Giuliana. Please contact the funeral home for information.
