John (Jack) Waryan

Jack was such a special person. He was like an uncle to me and he will greatly missed. Love and prayers go out to his family.

I first met Jack when I became the Head Golf Professional at Moorhead Country Club in Moorhead, Minnesota when Jack was at Detroit Country Club. He came to play in the KX Pro-Am at our course for many years. I played at Detroit Country Club a few times a year and was always looking forward to see and visit with he and Blanche. Jack was one of the nicest, friendliest, kindest people you would ever meet. He was a Great PGA Golf Professional and a Member of the Minnesota Section PGA. Rest In Peace Jack

Frank - I know our fathers were great friends for many many years and had a great bond over all things golf.

Jack did so much to make DL Country Club a success.

Jack was a very calm man, I had a very long shot on #13 one day but did not plan on reaching the green. Jack´s foursome was ahead of ours and my shot hit the green and actually the ball rolled right between Jack´s legs . I was panicked and thought I would really be in trouble. When we approached the green Jack was teeing off on 14, he turned around and said "heck of a good shot Judie" and that was it except for my apologies. What a relief. What a good guy. He had been my teacher so he knew that was not my usual shot. He and Blanch were a great team and he ran the club very well for many years. My sympathies go to all the family. God Bless you all.

Jack was my Great Uncle, and Uncle to my Father Craig. I will always remember his kind, smiling face. He had such a kind and pleasant demeanor. I loved him very much, and he will be greatly missed. I love you, Uncle Jack

Prayers and condolences to the Family. Jack was an inspiration, lived his life as a great example for every player. Conversations with Jack over the years are cherished memories, usually including "what is John (Sauer) up to? Thanks for the memories, RIP old friend

My sincere condolences on the passing of your father. I have known Jack for most of my life. I worked for him during high school. He was one of the calmest and kindest people I´ve ever known. I was lucky enough to visit with him for the past years. Many fond memories.

I will miss Jack very much! I started visiting Jack about 5-6 years ago. We talked a lot about his family, golf, his days in the Navy, and traveling. I loved sitting in his 3 season porch where we would watch the golfers tee off of the 15th tee box. He would make comments at times on the golfers and reminisce about his time as a golf pro. I loved my time with Jack and loved him very much!
My thoughts and prayers are with Frank, Selena and family as the grieve the loss of Jack. May the good memories give you all peace.
