JENSEN BEACH, FL
John S. Jardel, 94, of Jensen Beach, FL, died peacefully surrounded by his family on April 9, 2010 while staying with his daughter in Hartville, OH. He formerly lived in Pine Beach, NJ. Mr. Jardel was a self-made man who successfully managed a family business for many years before retiring in Florida in 1976. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather to his wife and family of six children, 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. "Jack" was a man who could literally "do anything," a trait he passed down to many of his children and grandchildren.
Mr. Jardel is predeceased by his wife of 68 years, Eleanor, in 2006. The oldest of 13 children, he is also pre-deceased by his parents and nine brothers and sisters. Surviving are his children: John P. Jardel and wife Mary Jane of Santee, CA; Toni Meszaros and husband Martin of Toms River, NJ; Thomas E. Jardel of Escondido, CA; Frances Shaeffer and husband John of Hartville, OH; Mary Hosler and husband John of Jensen Beach, FL; Eugene Jardel and wife Karen of Pine Beach, NJ. Grandchildren are: Jane, John T., Michael, Margaret, Brian, Annjanette, John E., Theresa, Jennifer, Lyndsey, Megan, Gina, John D. and Daniel. Great-grandchildren are: Robert, Ryan, Emily, Jacklyn, Perri, Jean Marie, Sarah, Lauren, Abigail, Robert, Ryan, Reid and Trevor.
A Memorial Mass will be held at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with Father John Zapp celebrant on Monday at 4 PM with internment in Jensen Beach, FL at a future date. In lieu of flowers a memorial donation can be made to Holy Spirit Catholic Church in John's name, 2952 Edison St., NW, Uniontown, OH 44685.

Fran, John, Lynsey & Megan and extended family,
