Whitsett– John “Johnny” Charles Albright, Jr., 75, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Johnny worked as a welder and field superintendent for PI Mechanical as well as was the owner/operator for Albright Lamps and Antiques at the Little Red Barn for over 34 years.
He enjoyed working and spending time with his family, including his two cats Squeaky and Charlie.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years; Sandra “Sandy” Whitaker Albright, children; Emily Albright (John), Matthew Newsome (Amy) and Benjamin Newsome (Julie), grandchildren; John, Tristan (Madison) and Henry, great grandchildren; Nevaeh, Maverick and Caleb, sister; Dianne Albright as well as a cousin and best friend Dustin Albright.
A Funeral service will be held at 3:00pm Saturday, August 5, 2023 in the Lowe Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor Steve Regan with the burial to follow at Shallowford Christian Church. The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 2:45 prior to the service at the funeral home.

I worked at Mebane Auction with Johnny . We had a lot of great conversations and attempted to solve a lot of the worlds problems. We didn't always succeed but it was fun. Better when drinking beer! Johnny was a great guy and will be missed by all!
