John Peter Johnson

John Peter Johnson passed away on December 31, 2020 at the age of sixty-four from an unexpected heart attack. Although his failing heart took him away from this world, he will forever be remembered for setting a strong example of hard work, inner fortitude and compassion for all who had the privilege of knowing him. Never one to visit his problems on others, he would rather carry the burdens of others. John was survived by his wife Gayle. He was a notably serious and unemotional person, but always had a large smile on his face when he and Gayle spent time together. John was also survived by his children, Bobby (Kristine), George (Michelle), Jennifer Gebhardt (Matthew), John Robert (Rachel Puklin) and Jesse, as well as his sisters Cindy and Kimberly Campbell (Peter). John was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Gloria, as well has two of his sisters, Gina Barber (Eddie Keenan) and Sharon Amodei (Benjamin). Although John was always dedicated to his work, he was an amazing father. He always protected his family and always stood up for what was right. He could often be found on his boat, where he was always happy. Family and friends are invited to John's Life Celebration, from 11:00am to 12:00pm, Saturday, January 30th, at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, 100 Broad St, Hilltown Township, PA 18927 and to participate in his Funeral Mass at 12:00pm. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, it is requested that donations be made to the American Heart Association, 1617 John F Kennedy Blvd # 700, Philadelphia, PA 19103.
