My time working in his biochemistry lab was one of the highlights of my days as a student at Oklahoma City University. He even included me as a "coauthor" on one of his published articles. BA '69

Dr. John Patrick Jordan indeed was a good, smiling and helping gentleman, who had helped a lot of folks, including this mourner, during his Directorship at SRRC, ARS, USDA. A religious man, as well! May his memories live for ever in the souls of all of his kith and kin.

May Shamrocks Fall Softly! You were a true gentleman and had a true love for the dogs. I enjoyed talking to you at the Irish Setter Club Specialty, you had so much knowledge to share. You will be missed.

Dear Family and Friends of the Late Dr. John Patrick Jordan,
I (Paul) am so saddened to learn the passing away of our EXCELLENT former Center Director, ARS. USDA,that I now have no appropriate words to fully express my sorrow on this unfortunate event of a person to whom most people, including me, who interacted with him would always say,"Dr. John Patrick Jordan indeed was a great soul of extraordinary passion, vigor, sympathy, help and, above all, superb personality."
May the Almighty God bless his soul and give the strength to his extended family and friends to bear this irreversible, huge loss of a superbly decent human being. Frankly, I liked him very much and he was good to all, including me!
Sincerely,
Amar Paul Singh Sawhney, D. Sc. & Technology

I was sadden to learn of Dr. Jordan's passing. Dr. Jordan was a beloved member of the Irish Setter Club of Greater New Orleans. I had the pleasure of visiting with him and wife Louise when they would come to our shows. Our club had him act as our Sweepstake Judge as we knew he was be so gentle with our young Irish Setters. I send my sincere sympathy to his family. He will be missed.
