John Kanzelberger Obituary

Published by Legacy Remembers on May 20, 2012.
John "Butch" William Kanzelberger, 65, oSheboygan Falls, passed away unexpectedly, Thursday evening, May 17, 2012, at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee. John was born April 24, 1947, in Sheboygan, to the late Richard and Barbara (Pentek) Kanzelberger. Butch was born and raised in Sheboygan Falls. He served his country in the United States Army. On July 1, 1972, he married the former Karen Kubitz at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Sheboygan Falls. Butch was employed throughout the years as a machinist at Kohler General, Curt G. Joa and retired from Holden Machine Co. He also owned a small machine shop for several years before retiring. John was also very active in shooting sporting clays, skeet and trap for many years. His greatest joy was his eight grandchildren. John took great pride in his home and yard, spending many years making it a warm and welcoming place. Butch was a very caring and loving man that would do anything for his family and friends, never expecting anything in return. Butch will be terribly missed by all of his family and friends.

In addition to Karen, his wife of 39 years, he is survived by two children, Chad (Amy) Kanzelberger, Cascade; Christopher (fiancee, Kristin VanDeKreeke) Kanzelberger, Sheboygan; eight grandchildren, Zachary 13, Blake 11, Hunter 10, Austin 7, Jade 6, twins, Mason and Ella 5 and Lily 2; one sister, Sue (Erv Wolff) Bennin, Sheboygan; three brothers, Richard (Shirley), Kiel; Thomas (Gloria), Sheboygan Falls; Robert (Maria), Sheboygan Falls; father and mother-in-law, Delmar (Margaret) Kubitz, Crivitz; sister-in-law, Linda Kubitz, Crivitz; brother-in-law, Michael (Carolyn) Kubitz, Polar. He is further survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

In accordance with John's wishes, private family services will be held.

John's family would like to thank the ER Staff at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center and the Staff of the Coronary Intensive Care Unit at Aurora St. Luke's Medical Center.
