John Kaufman Obituary

Published by Vancouver Sun and/or The Province on Feb. 25, 2012.
KAUFMAN, John F.
March 1, 1932 - February 18, 2012
Born on a farm in Englefeld, Saskatchewan, Dad was a good man who devoted his life to his family. Johnny (Johann) was proud of his Swiss heritage and cherished his lifelong prairie friends. He woke each morning with a curious mind and filled every day with laughter and productivity. A strong union man, he claimed the ILWU (International Longshore and Warehouse Union) as the best in the nation. After many happy years of travel with wife Annette, and children Suzanne, Celine, and Richard, he has left on his final journey. Johnny . . . thanks for coming . . . Grampa . . . Mitch, Cole, and Brennan will miss you. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the CKNW Orphans' Fund. A private family gathering will be held.

May you continue to Shine your Light of Joy and Laughter now and forever more as you reach out even further from your new "vantage point"... Say Hi to the rest of the gang there... "Always respect the King, right?"... I'll never forget you.
