Mr. Kinsman was a renounding man He was the greatest Coach I can remember I had him as a coach at Diefenbaker High my 3 years there. I am sorry for his family as they lost a truley great man. I wouldn't be the man I am today if it was not for Mr. Kinsman he helped me with my school work and helped me with anything I needed.
Mr Kinsman you will be greatly missed by all.

Mr. Kinsman Was The Most Wonderful Person. He Helped Me Through Alot Of Hard Times During My Years At Diefenbaker. His Spirit Will Fly On. Rest In Peace Sir. My Thoughts Are With All Who New Him. Heaven Has Received Yet Another Angel.

Mr. Kinsman was a great man, very reasonable. Thanks to this man I continued on to graduate from Diefenbaker. He always displayed true passion for education and the school’s student’s success. He will be a great loss to the educational community. My deepest sympathy goes out to his family and especially his amazing wife!

Linda,
I am very saddened to hear about John. I played hockey with and against him on Friday afternoons for many years, and as a goalie, it was always re-assuring to know he was on your side, protecting you from the foe. He was a gentleman of strong integrity and kindness. May you know that his spirit surrounds you always.

I was a student at Crescent Heights in the early 1990's. Mr. Kinsman had the unfortunate task of being the assistant principal that I had to answer to. I spent a lot of time in his office and we spent a great deal of it talking about my future... Mostly against my wishes. I didn't enjoy a lot of our visits as one can imagine but looking back now I am very thankful that someone took the time to teach me the importance of my education. He was more than a man at work just doing his job. He was a man whom cared about the impact he made on his students and from what I read here today that overflowed into every aspect of his life. Thanks for being the man you are Mr. Kinsman. You taught me more than you will ever know!

Mr. Kinsman was the most caring and understanding school administrator I have ever met. It's been 16 years since my CHHS grad but my respect for him has never faded. I send my sympathy to his family and friends. He has touched so many hearts!

I am deeply saddened on hearing of the loss of Mr. Kinsman. He was my high school guidance councellor at Crescent in the 80's, and to be truthful, my best friend. I could talk to him about anything and he was always there for me no matter what. I managed to catch up to him again when he was at Diefenbaker, and it was so nice to get back in contact and catch up. My deepest condolences go out to his family...he was truly one of the best people I have ever met.

Krista and Kate,
We are saddened to hear about your Dad. Our close friendship with your Mom and Dad goes back many years and although our connection diminished when we moved to Langley, our happy memories will endure.
Especially the golf, suppers and sunsets at Redwood Meadows.
Linda,
Although we never had the privilege of meeting you, please accept our deepest condolences. John and I went to highschool together, played hockey for many years, and raised hell together when we worked in the proshop at Shawnee Golf Course. Many years have passed but I will treasure those moments.
John was a very dear friend, mentor, athlete and humanitarian.
