My name is Lena and I was one of John's caretaker and friend. My first memory of meeting with John, was the day I went for my interview. The moment I walked into his house I started crying upon seeing him..I very much distinctly John saying. If you are going cry walk back through the door and never come back...he then said if you want to work for me retrack your steps..come back in with a smile and you'll be hired...that was the start of 17 years of being with John
I was very fortunate working for John, have traveled to so many places and countries..memories that I will cherish forever..John made this possible.
John you will always be special and I will always love you for you being you.
I will miss you and hope to meet you again in heaven.
Blessed be
Lena

John as we know loved to talk and he had lots to talk about. Great stories that we all were very interested in hearing. He always told me and so many others that he wanted to write a book and I heard that so many times so I would tell him just write one. All the stories you´ve told you could have had your book if you just stopped talking for a few hours a day haha. He agreed and long story short it wasn´t an easy process day to day but he listened and got writing that book. For all that didn´t get a copy and wanted one his book is called "rolling with John" can go to his Facebook page and the link is there to find it. John will be missed as he was a very inspirational guy and loved to point out the brighter side of life rather than focus on the bad which is hard to do sometimes. Glad he went peacefully surrounded by his loved ones.

John always made me smile. He was a true and genuine soul, he spoke the truth and always knew how to make me laugh... he had more of a zest for life than anyone. He was a true inspiration in so many different ways. He was such a faithful servant of the Lord, I know he ran through Heaven´s gates with the biggest smile on and was embraced by his Lord and Savior. We have sooooo many memories together that I will never, ever forget. I feel so blessed to have known such a beautiful soul. Thank you for being you, John. Love you always.

John was my brother, not by blood, but as close as you can get. I met John when I was 15 yrs old and John was 14 yrs old. We had a great group of friends and always had a great time. John and I moved to California in the 90´s so he could attend the Walker institute to receive therapy and that´s when we became best friends and had such great adventures. We went to Hawaii and had such an amazing time.
We didn´t have smart phones and there was no internet, so we couldn´t post our adventures. We did take a lot of pictures, but they were all lost on our trip back to Florida.
We continued our friendship and traveling and had one adventure after another. We were very close for 40 yrs.
I will miss our long talks and jokes we told each other. I will miss my brother, but I will continue my adventures because I know he will always be with me. I love you John. See you again.
