John Knowles

Funeral service for Dr. John Knowles, age 80 years, of Village Road, will be held on Saturday March 5, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Matthew's Anglican Church, Shirley and Church Streets. Officiating will be Canon Crosley Walkine assisted by the Venerable Keith N. Cartwright and Rev'd Fr. Chester Burton. Cremation will follow.

Left to cherish his memories are his wife: Dr. Carol Thomas-Knowles; children: Dr. John Knowles, Jr., Michael Knowles, Carol Ebelhard, Frances Knowles and Donny Knowles; eight grandchildren: Paul, Sebastian, Katherine and Oliver Knowles, Elizabeth, Andrew, Stephen and Anabelle Ebelhard; brother: Stephen "Chuck" Knowles; mother-in–law: Katy Thomas; sisters-in-law: Norma Knowles and Vivian Mason; brother-in-law: Peter Thomas; nieces: Candi and Clio Knowles; and a host of other relatives and friends including: Jean Knowles, Barrie Farrington and family, Paul and Kim Aranha and family, colleagues and students of the College of the Bahamas, Janet Burnside and staff of the Little Orchard and many friends and colleagues in Canada, England and the United States.

Friends may pay their last respects at Butlers' Funeral Homes and Crematorium, Ernest and York Streets, on Friday March 4, 2016 from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. and at the church on Saturday March 5, 2016 from 9:00 a.m. until service time.
