John Larsen

John Emanuel Lars Larsen, Jr., age 90, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2025, in Concord, New Hampshire. Born on February 13, 1935, in Boston, Massachusetts, John lived a life marked by service, devotion, and unwavering faith.

A proud veteran, John served his country as a Tech Sergeant in the Air National Guard during the Korean War. His dedication to duty remained a central part of his identity throughout his life.

John's professional journey was varied and enduring. He held positions at AT&T and East Coast Electronics as a sound technician and later worked as a Sales Associate at Home Depot. He continued working until December 2023, when he could no longer drive-never believing in retirement and finding purpose in serving others well into his late eighties.

A man of deep faith, John was a longtime member of Grace Chapel Church of the Nazarene in Hooksett, New Hampshire. Known for sitting faithfully in the front row and singing with joy, he served wherever needed until becoming housebound. Even then, his spirit of service continued-caring for others up until the day before his passing.

John is lovingly remembered by his wife and high school sweetheart of 69 years, June A. Larsen of Bow, NH; his children: John Larsen of Sylvania, OH and his daughters Regina and family, Rachel and family and Amanda and family; James and wife Cecilia Larsen of Monck's Corner, SC and their daughters Jenny and family, Amber and family, and Chelsea and family, and their son Michael and family; Joseph and wife Pat Larsen of Londonderry, NH and their daughters Heather and family, and Hope and family, and their son Joe and family; Jeanine and husband Stephen Baberadt of Manchester, NH and their daughters Samantha and family, Heidi and husband, and their sons Steve and Jonathan; Judi Grein of Buffalo Grove, IL and her son Kenneth and daughter Krista and husband; Jeffrey Larsen's son Daniel; and Joanne and Tony Gagnon (retired and traveling the country) and their son Michael and wife and daughter Kylie. He is also remembered by many great-grandchildren and even a few great-great grandchildren.

He is fondly remembered by his niece Robin Larsen of Belmont, MA and family; nephews Skip and Lisa Durham of Everett, MA and family; Christopher Durham of Winchester, MA; Derek Durham of Arnold, MD and family; and John and Monith Adams of Lacey, WA and family.

John was predeceased by his parents, John and Edna Larsen; his sister Lynn Adams; his son Jeffrey Larsen; and his grandson Ryan Stewart.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2025, at Grace Chapel Church of the Nazarene, 7 Silver Ave., Hooksett, NH 03106. Doors open at 11:30 AM for a time of fellowship before the service begins at 12:00 PM. Interment will follow at 2:00 PM at New Hampshire State Veterans Cemetery, 110 Daniel Webster Hwy., Boscawen, NH 03303.
