We were out of town, when we heard from Betty and Ron Mullen about the passing of Jack. We just thought of Jack and you Stella when we met the Mullen's at an occasion in January. We were sorry to hear of Jacks passing and we remember how strong he was at Empire Orthodontics. He was always glad to give advise at Empire and always very friendly. Stella, we hope that you will have the courage to carry on with the help of your family during this difficult time.
Our love and kind regards to you and your family. We wish you the very best in courage and offer our sympathy during this difficult time. Do not hesitate to call if we can be of any help.

Thank you to all who left messages here. Your memories and thoughts touched us. It amazes me how the simplest memory brings added joy to us all. Thank you.

My condolences and sympathy to Dr. Little's family. I'm glad that I had a short re-connection with him while he was at Grandview. I also am grateful for the gentle demeanor he (and Marnie) had when they worked on my braces about 37 years ago.

Stella
Alberta has lost an orthodontic pioneer. Jack's professionalism and passion for his patients and his profession will serve as a testament to his stature in Alberta orthodontics. A number of my staff either worked with Jack at one time, or were patients. When we found out on Friday, a few of the ladies shared their reflections about him and Empire Orthodontics. It was nice to hear the respect they had for him. As an orthodontic colleague, Jack was always willing to help a young guy out many years ago. Unfortunately we were away in Calgary this weekend celebrating my Mother's 85th birthday.
He created lots of fabulous smiles in his career; a legacy to be proud of!

Dear Stella and Family.
We are presently in Mexico and were saddened to hear from Ron and Betty Mullen that Jack had died. As an associate with Jack for many years at Empire Orthodontic Associates, I learned so much from him starting as a neophyte grad in 1975. It was my good fortune to have Jack as a mentor and a great example of what I would have to become to be a good orthodontist. Jack was a perfectionist as a clinician. I never saw another orthodontist take so many progress records to insure his patients finished with the best result he could provide. Jack was a very busy orthodontist, he had patients waiting in the waiting room, plus the “On Deck” area , and sometimes even in the hallway of the Empire Building next to the elevator. No matter how busy he was , Jack was extremely passionate about orthodontics, was very cool under pressure, and very giving of his time to all his patients. For many years Jack was the financial wizard of Empire Orthodontics and we all benefited from his facility and expertise with “numbers”. Jack also had a great sense of humor, even until the last few months of his life when we visited him at Grandview Centre.
I remember his “pipe breaks” in his office, and the pipe tobacco aroma from my office which was right next door. We all remember the camaraderie on hunting expeditions to Killam with Dr. Mike De Abreu and the usual wild goose chases. These we shared also with Jimmy Mullen and Craig Little. At Bruderheim together we flushed out pheasants, sometimes almost stepping on them before they flew.
We have so many fond memories over the past 35 plus years of the many social gatherings with Jack and Stella. Jack was extremely proud of Stella and his family, and a very devoted and Christian family man. The same dedication, love, and devotion, he gave to Empire Orthodontics and for that we are grateful . Thank you Jack for your counsel, example, support and good humor over the many years I have been blessed to share with you. We will miss you dearly, mon ami , and we wish you adieu et au revoir. Until we meet again, dear friend.

Stella and family,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this very difficult time. What a privilege it was to practice together with Jack for almost 30 years! He earned our respect and admiration, and instilled in us all, the true value of serving and caring for others. We will truly miss him. The suffering he endured over the past few years is over; he is in a better place! May God's comfort and presence be with you.
We are sorry we cannot be there with you for the celebration of Jack's life.

To the Little Family
Please accept our sincere condolences on the passing of Jack. He was a fine man and a wonderful colleague. We know his suffering is over and he is at peace, and for that we can all rejoice. Judy and I are in Arizona, but we will mourn with you, and thank God for all that Jack was while he was with us. May you find comfort and support from your family and friends and through your faith in our Lord, Jesus Christ.
