John M. "Jack" Curley, age 85, of Jensen Beach, FL, formerly of Bala Cynwyd, PA, passed away on September 16, 2017. Born in Philadelphia to the late John V. and Ann Curley (nee Fitzsimmons). Jack was an Entrepreneur. John M. Curley grew up in Bala Cynwyd where he enjoyed a paper route, double features at the Greek's, and basketball at nearby Narberth playground. Jack attended St. Matthias School, then ?St. Joe's Prep, then University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School of Business. He played on the Penn basketball team where he participated in all the "big" games - big wins and big losses. He graduated in 1954, served in the Air Force for two years then joined IBM as a district sales manager. In 1964, he distinguished himself by installing the first IBM system to handle drivers' licenses in Harrisburg. After leaving IBM, he bought a medical supply company, Numedco which he ran successfully for 20 years. During those years he acquired Alden Supply Co., PX Imaging, RescuMed, and Brotherston Medical Supply. In 1991, he established Lite Tech Inc., an x-ray supplies manufacturing company still located in Bridgeport. He also owned a handful of businesses and start-ups: a car wash, an apartment complex, an order processing company, IBI, and a tax services company, Touch EZ Tax. He also spent many years working on his "magic move" at the Philadelphia Country Club where he was an active golfer for 43 years. As a grandfather, he was a season ticket holder for softball, soccer, lacrosse, St. Christopher's Christmas shows, and golf tournaments. A consummate reader, Jack often quoted Emerson, "A measure of a man's wealth is not his bank account, but how many friends he has." He is survived by his loving children and their spouses, Lori Curley Unterkoefler and Alex, John Michael Curley and Lacey; Chuck Curley and Robbie; his former wife, Sara B. Curley; his adoring grandchildren, Lizzie, Sara, Julia, Charlie and Ry Curley; Emma and Willy Unterkoefler. And too many friends to count. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Thursday September 21, 2017 6:30-8:30 PM The Donohue Funeral Home, 366 West Lancaster Avenue and Friday September 22, 2017 9:00-10:00 AM St. Katharine of Siena Church, Lancaster and Aberdeen Avenue, Wayne, PA followed by his Funeral Mass at 10:00 AM. Interment Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken, PA.

" Je suis triste" I am saddened by the news of Jack passing. I meet Jack later in life . He was a great golf partner at his best when the team needed a win. He would say " OK Pete , I got this" and inevitably perform a clutch chip or putt to win the hole.
He was competing graciously until his very last round of golf in the Jensen Beach area. I will miss his quick mind and interesting stories.
Warmest regards and sincere sympathy to the family. Pierre St-Cyr. Sherbrooke Canada

We lost one of the great ones. As my Brother Brad said Jack was like an uncle to us. A constant presence throughout our lives. His smile, laugh and mischievous sense of humor were always a joy. He was a consummate conversationalist and teller of tales. Our hearts go out to his family and friends at this difficult time. And sad as we all are at his passing I know I will never be able to think of Jack without also smiling

So sorry to hear of Jack's passing. My thoughts and prayers are with the Curley family during this difficult time. Jack was a great friend, mentor and "Uncle" to me and my siblings. To my father Ed he was a life long friend and the news of his passing has been heart breaking. The world is allot less bright today without his warmth, wit and smile. Rest in peace Jack and thank you for your friendship!

We wish we met Jack earlier in his life. Even though it was only a few years that we were able to get to know Jack he made quite an impact on our family. Even for our son Luc that acutally never met Jack but as we shared with him of our times with Jack he felt as though he knew him. Jack had a wonderful mind and we enjoyed many of his ever so interesting stories..never a dull moment! He was very kind and a wonderful mentor to our son Chase and for this we will be forever grateful. Life won't be the same (particularly the visits to Florida) however we do appreciate that we had these times with Jack because they were fruitful moments that will never be forgotten. God bless Jack and all of his family whom he was very "rightfully" proud of. Tim, Christine, Chase and Luc Komaromi

To Sally!

I am so sorry to hear of Jack's passing. You and he were such a part of my early 'married' days in Philadelphia.

The hat rack that I brought back from your 'farmhouse' days still remains with me.

All best, Mary Lou
