Deepest sympathies to all Pat's family. I fondly recall his friendship, as well as his writing and organizational skills as he gave me invaluable help with my Masters Thesis in Social Work many years ago. May he rest in peace.

Shawn, Lane and Kelly
Very sorry to hear of your father's passing.

I last spoke to Pat following Tom Van Dusen's funeral. I had met him briefly many years before. I introduced myself and he proceeded to astound me by talking about cases over which I had presided and offering flowery compliments. He made me feel very special and I was amazed at his memory. A formidable man. Upon reading the life story in today's Citizen written by Andrew Duffy I went online and discovered this obituary and was pleasantly surprised to learn that his son in law is Steve Gaon. What a small world. Another of the mighty has fallen. Please accept my sincere condolences. Colin McKinnon.

Our condolences to the MacAdam Clan in this great loss of Patrick. Pat and I grew up on Chapel Hill, Glace Bay and I was born less than a Tiger Woods "sand wedge" away from Pat's home on Hillside Avenue. We maintained infrequent contact over the years and I always enjoyed his erudite writings. Canada has lost a great treasure.
Sincerely,
Xavier and Patricia McGillivary, another "B'y" from the Bay, now Ottawa

Pat was a good man and a good friend. We met in 1965 and if anybody asked if I had any mentors or people I looked up to, Pat was always on that very short list.
