MALYSH, John T.
1919 - 2014
John T. Malysh, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend passed away peacefully and with dignity at the age of 94 years. He will be dearly missed and forever remembered by his children, Elaine Sanregret, Roberta (Dwayne) Malysh- Hahn, Jeannette (Robert) Wanchuk, Charles (Shelly) Malysh; grandchildren Jean Paul, Tomas and Raeann. He is also survived by his sister Kay (Harold) Gallatin as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
John was predeceased by his wife Lena, his grandson Joshua, his sister Rose Puchalsky, infant sister Mary Malysh and his parents Thomas and Jennie Malysh.
John was a successful businessman in the Hamlin area throughout his life. He spent time in the military (1941-1944), and was involved in community activities. His legacy is the genealogical compilation of the Malysh-Basaraba families. His energy brought happiness to all those around him.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the Dr. Elisea Mori- Torres, Norine Whalen R. N., and staff members of Citadel Mews West Supportive Living in St. Albert. Their dedication and effort to provide quality care over the last months were a heart-warming blessing to the entire family. We thank God for the gift of his life and the time we spent with him.

Prayers will be held Wednesday, July 30, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. at the Ukrainian Orthodox Catherdral of St. John 10611 110 Ave. Edmonton and a Service on Thursday, July 31, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John's with an Interment to follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens 16102 Fort Road, Edmonton.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to seniors' supportive living at Citadel Mews West (Christenson Developments) or the Alberta Cancer Foundation.
Expressions of sympathy may be forwarded to the family via the website.
