Dear Pat and daughters,
Ron and I were saddened to hear of John's passing. Please accept our deepest sympathy. When we lived in Lansing, IL, we enjoyed you and your family as neighbors and friends. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

It seems so long ago that the Mardos family moved to our neighborhood. My kids were thrilled to have more girls so close by. I remember car pooling and one of the girls crying because she did not want to go to school. Life has really changed for all of us since that time. I was fortunate enough to see John a couple of months ago and we had a wonderful conversation and updated each other on what was new with our families. He was so very proud of Jennifer, Nicole, and Danielle.....you could see his eyes light up as we talked. Pat...please know that your family has been in my thoughts since John and I talked that day. God bless you and your family.

Our hearts go out to Pat and daughters and Jackie. We send our deepest sympathies. I reflect to younger days when I use to see John a lot around his folks store. He was such a character then! Then as we grew up, seen him less but always had a nice conversation when our paths did cross. Prayers for all the heal on your loss. John is at peace and will be looking down on all of you. My Mom asked to send her sympathies too as the Mardos family holds a special and dear part in her heart.
Unfortunately, we will be out of town on Sunday and not certain we can be back to express our sympathies in person.
