John McENERY Obituary
With his son by his side, John passed away peacefully after a short and courageous battle with brain cancer on Tuesday, November 22nd, 2011, eight days before his 70th birthday. Loving father to Mark (Tanya) and the late Timothy. Proud Pappa to Olivia and Ryan. Brother to Peter and Paul. Also survived by Barbara, the mother of his children. A special thank you to Sheilah, Gladys, Uncle David, Aunt Paddy, and the hospital staff at both the Élisabeth Bruyère and the Ottawa Civic for their excellent care and compassion. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 26th at the Pinecrest Remembrance Chapel (2500 Baseline Road, Ottawa) at 2 p.m. A reception will follow. Donations may be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Online condolences can be made at www.colefuneralservices.com .

To the McEnery Family, I worked for John for four years in the 1980's at the Dept. of Justice. He was a nice person to work for. My deepest condolences. May your memories bring you comfort.

John was a kind, thoughtful, unselfish and dignified gentleman even as a law student. Undoubtedly his advice and representation has benefited many people, as it benefited me. I remain grateful to have been acquainted with John. My condolences.

McEnery Family, I am very sorry for your loss. John and I shared an office at Algonquin and it was always a very spirited conversation when we would start talking politics and education systems. He will be missed by many.

So sorry to hear of your loss Mark. I worked with your Dad at Public Works (Tupper Bldg.) back in the 90's when everyone used to congregate outside to have a cigarette. He had a great sense of humour and I enjoyed many a good laugh with him. He was very proud of you and Timothy. Elaine Ralph
