I just found out that John has passed. I used to hang out at Helens and we would ride around with him in his Chevy. No one else had a car. I didn't see him after graduation but ran into him at the old route 1 flee market about 6 years later. He was a wonderful man and friend. Very genuine! To his brother Pat(whom I ran Cross Country with) and his entire family, my condolences. Chris Morton, class of "70"

I just learned John passed away. My heart aches at Fiji's moment. He was a very special man. He was my daughter Sandra's godfather. The care, love, and role model he was for her was extraordinary. You always been in our thoughts. I am sorry we did not know you have gone home to be with your loved ones. Rest In Peace; no more Alzheimer's.

I missed this as I was travelling cross country but John was a sweet wonderful guy and his face was the map of Ireland. May the road rise up to heaven for him.

I used to hang out with John when we were in high school at Helen's ice cream store. We played pinball and John was the only one with a car so he drove us around. He was such a great guy. It has been many years since I have seen him, running into him at the strangest places. My heart is sad that such a wonderful and kind friend is gone. Goodbye, John my friend.
My deepest condolences to his wife and family and his brother Pat.

To John's wife, children and grands, my sincerest condolences. I met John and Pat as a child when they and their parents lived downstairs from my mother and me on Amherst St. in HP. John and Pat were the big brothers I didn't have and they treated me like their little sister. John will forever be part of some of my best childhood memories. RIP John.❤
