John Miller Obituary

Mass of the Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 12, 2008, for John MacArthur Miller, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, with Reverend Paul Rainville M.S., celebrant. Interment will follow in the Garden of Memories Memorial Park. Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Monday evening in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Bill Slight M.S. reciting. Visitation will be from 5 to 7:30 p.m. Monday evening in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel. Mr. Miller was born March 22, 1942, in Greenup, Kentucky, and passed away August 8, 2008, at his residence. Mr. Miller was a grounds keeper at St. Patricks Catholic Church. He was retired but was a man-of-all-trades, including being a plumber, welder and mechanic. Survivors include his wife, Marilou Miller of Lufkin; six daughters, Johnna Gay and her husband Robert Leber of Springfield, Ohio, Ginger Alison and her husband Andy Lovelace of Dayton, Ohio, Rebecca Janel Miller of San Diego, California, Venice Marie Aliazas of Lufkin, Vanessa Lou Miller of Lufkin, Velina Lee and her husband David Wagner of Houston; foster son, Odell McGraw of Troy, Ohio; grandchild, Macy Marie Lovelace of Dayton, Ohio; brother William Miller of Troy, Ohio; sister, Betty McGinty of Navasota; numerous nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rufus and Lenora (Johnson) Miller; and one sister, Shelby Vititoe. Expressions of sympathy may be made in Mr. Miller's memory to The American Cancer Society, 212 Gene Samford Drive, Lufkin, Texas 75904. Pallbearers will be Tony Bondad, Ryan Williams, Albi Sabani, Donald Self, Ron Cummings and Calvin Smallwood. Honorary pallbearers will be John Hayes, John McGinty and David Wagner. Gipson Funeral Home, Charlotte Partin, director.

I am so sorry to hear about your husband and the girls father. He was a very sweet man and he was always good to me and Sarha we work with him at the school we was the cooks.
