Maryville - John Mose Millsaps, Jr., age 88 of Maryville, passed away at home on Saturday, August 10, 2024. He was a machinist at Alcoa and attended Clover Hill Presbyterian Church. A man of strong faith, he was committed to serving others. He volunteered at local food pantries and enjoyed singing in the church choir. He was also a 32nd degree Mason with Unitia Lodge, having been a member since 1957. Preceded in death by parents, John and Mary Millsaps; daughter-in-law, Brenda Millsaps. Survivors include wife of 67 years, Dorothy Perkins Millsaps; daughters, Lisa Millsaps and Kim Wilde (Lynn); son, Bob Millsaps (Barbara); four grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sister Tanya Lane; brother Jim Millsaps (Sandy); several nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank Nurse Jamie and the Hospice Team from the University of Tennessee Medical Center, Nurse Practitioner Chase from Senior Care Partners, and the teams from Synergy HomeCare and Right at Home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to: Clover Hill Presbyterian Church at P.O. Box 4877, Maryville, TN 37802.

Family will receive friends from 1:30-3:00 p.m. Monday, August 12, 2024 at McCammon Ammons Click with Reverends Tom Gilliland and Roy Scarbrough officiating. Funeral service will follow. Family and friends will assemble for interment immediately after the service at Clover Hill Presbyterian Church Cemetery. www.mccammonammonsclick.com
