John you were so much fun to be with, inside and outside work. You had a God given spirit to bring joy to people, as much as you enjoyed life itself. I certainly miss the laughter and friendship we shared. It was a privilege and honor to be a small part of your life. To John's family, Lydia my heart goes out to you.

I am so sorry for your loss, and I wish I had something wonderful to say myself, so I leave the words from an Irish quote. Death leaves a heartache no one can heal, love leaves a memory no one can steal. My thoughts are with you and your family.

Still in disbelief that John is gone. John was one of a kind. A very sincere and humble human being who could simply be your friend. The world has lost another another wonderful soul to seek his reward in heaven. All those of whose lives you touched with you wit, easy laugh and just all around kindness feel you were taken far to early. May you rest in peace my dear old friend.

I will always remember what a delight John was to be around. Even during the last few years when he was ill, he was always amazingly upbeat. He had such a sweet soul. I was lucky to have known him. I hope Lydia and Johns family find strength in their memories of John. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Tio, you were the guy who made sure everyone was having a good time. Genuinely cared for people. Called every New Years, Birthday, Easter, Anniversary, 4th of July, Veterans Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas to say happy/merry.... and to let us know you loved us.
Ill always remember the times when we would go to visit and you ensured there was plenty of Miller Lite in the fridge. Then youd take us to your local hole in the wall to visit and listen to music. Then staying up late telling me stories of my dad and the rest of the family.
Thanks for being a great uncle. Love you!

John was such a great guy and always first in line to help if you needed anything. I met him in 1988 at Pennzoil, where he chased off a homeless person harassing me at our bus stop. From that selfless act a long standing friendship was born. John was there for me through many chapters of my life, and I knew I always had his unwavering support and he would unconditionally be there when and if I needed him. John was the best story teller, and would have me cracking up with his rather colorful tales! I am grateful for the many entertaining times we shared, and for the privilege of being his friend for so many years. He will be missed more than words can express.

A very few people have the natural gift for making just about anyone smile. John was very definitely one of those people. I dont remember ever being around him for more than a few seconds before he had me smiling and relaxed. He was a gift to all of us. My best friend, lover, lifetime partner. I miss you desperately. I loved you unconditionally. Caring for you was an honor and a privilege. I would care for you all over again. You were never ever a burden. You were my world. I will always remember the laughs, good times and very few bad times. And always remember what you taught me - to stand my ground. Thank you for taking care of me and my sister in your own way. I will never forget what you did for my mom. You were very thoughtful. I know you are no longer in pain, and if I could have taken the pain away from you, I would have. It is your mom and Daniel's turn to have you. Hope she has the green plastic toy soldiers and a box of 64 crayons with the sharpener waiting for you! Love forever and a day.

Damn....where to begin? I met John in '83 at Pennzoil and our friendship took off from there. This guy was just good to be around. Always positive, always there to help if needed. When I moved from Texas to Seattle, John drove cross country with me. When I got married, John flew to Seattle to be my best man. When I needed anything, John was there because that's the guy he was.....a very good person. I have so many stories to tell, but some are R-rated....so I'll save them for a later gathering of friends and family. ;) I know he's suffered in recent years and I'm relieved that he now has peace. But at the same time, so very saddened that my dearest friend is no longer with us. I will miss you Johnny Boy!
