John Eric Mudge, of LaGrange, formerly of Elmhurst, honorably discharged from the US Army Reserves, beloved husband of Ruth A., nee Makrinski; loving father of Michael and Lindsay; devoted brother of Barbara Thompson, Laurie Chuman and Ruth Belling; dear son of Ruth R. and the late John H.; fond uncle of Beth Thompson, Gwen (Richard) Danca, Greg Thompson, Jeff Thompson, Melissa Chuman and Skylar Belling; dear brother-in-law of Peter Makrinski. Visitation 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 1025 W. 55th St., Countryside. Prayers 9:15 a.m. Friday from the funeral home to St. Francis Xavier Church, LaGrange for Mass at 10 a.m. Interment Queen of Heaven Cemetery. Funeral home phone 708-352-6500.
