Helen Lippert Obituary
Elizabeth Lippert
Was born on December 2, 1937 in Fortuna, CA to Theodore "Ted" Gerhart Lippert and Elizabeth "Betty" Oriene Wanamaker Lippert. She passed away in Sunnyvale, CA on June 20, 2010.
She retired in September of 1996 after 28 years working in the VA hospitals. She was preceded in death be her parents and survived by relatives, numerous kind friends and dear cousins. Services will be held on Thursday, June 24, 2010 at 11:00 AM at Goble's Fortuna Mortuary 560 12th Street, Fortuna. Interment will follow at the Sunrise Cemetery. Donations are suggested to the Lippert Scholarship Fund at the Humboldt Area Foundation, 373 Indianola Road, Bayside, CA 95524.

The McWhorter's were neighbors of the Lippert family from the early 50's till 1963. There were a lot of good times had between our families over that period. Betsy was 20 years my senior, but man did I have a crush on her. She was a beautiful lady inside and out. She would come up to the Fortuna Rodeo every year and I always looked forward to her stopping by to see me and catching up on what our family had been up to the past year. I'll miss you Betsy.

I worked with Betsey for many years and as a nurse she was one of the very best. The knowledge she had could over flow a library. She also became a dear friend I will miss our telephone chats about the world and all of the problems in it. You took care of so many people in your life. Now let God take care of you. I will miss you greatly.

Betsy and I had planned to drive up to Fortuna together to attend our 55th High School Class Reunion in July. We were looking forward to spending some quality time together. Betsy and I go way back to first grade, Camp Fire Girls, Methodist Youth Fellowship, many

Betsy was a dear friend for many years.
Our recent dinners together with high school friends brought back fond memories. We all agreed that we lived in the best of times, in the best of place. I'll miss you Betsy.
