John Newell, Jr. Obituary
He was predeceased by his parents, John and Eleanor, and sister Eleanor Huber.
Joe was employed at Central City Toyota for over 31 years.
Joe enjoyed his time as a long-time coach and board member of the Newtown Edgemont Little league during the days his children played. More recently, Joe loved to spend time on his sailboat in Maryland, as well as attending his grandchildren's sporting and school events. He loved the game of baseball!
He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Theresa (nee McShane), his brother James Newell, sister Mary Mullin and his loving children John J. Newell III, Daniel P. (Teresa) Newell, Theresa M. Klitchko (Frank), Thomas M. (Christine) Newell, Michael P. Newell, Philip J. (Maria) Newell. Joe is also survived by his 13 grandchildren.
Services will be held on Thursday May 19, 2022, at St. Anastasia Church, 3301 West Chester Pike, Newtown Square, PA 19073. Visitation 10:00 am, followed by mass at 11:00 am with cemetery service to follow at Sts. Peter and Paul Cemetery in Springfield, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to: Newtown Edgemont Little League, Challenger Division, PO Box 75, Newtown Square, PA 19073 or the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, PO Box 781352, Philadelphia, PA 19178.
