Glenda Trunkfield Obituary
Glenda Faye was born in Hopkins County, KY to Anna Faynell Alexander Harris and Carl Harris. She graduated from South Hopkins High School in 1959 and went on to attend Austin Peay College in Clarksville, TN. In 1963, she married Art Trunkfield and together they raised four children: Timothy Sean (deceased), Christopher "Kit" Wayne (deceased), Paige Trunkfield Sergeant, and Courtney Trunkfield Hamner. Glenda Faye found immense joy in being a cherished grandmother to Anna Hamner (20), Elise Hamner (18), and Gillian Sergeant (16). Family was the center of her world, and she especially loved gathering with them for Sunday dinners.
In accordance with her wishes for privacy, funeral services will be held privately for immediate family only. To honor Glenda Faye's life and legacy, donations may be made in her name to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, [email protected]; OpenDoors Asheville, opendoorsasheville.org; Youth Outright, www.youthoutright.org; or Cure PSP, psp.org.
The care of Mrs. Trunkfield has been entrusted to Wells Funeral Home of Candler and an online memorial register is available at "obituaries" at www.wellsfuneralhome.com.
