John Pete Pasquin, 87, of Aguilar, Colorado, born on April 21, 1931 in Walsenburg, Colorado, left us to be with the Lord on November 7, 2018 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

John was an air force veteran and one of nine Ariel Reconnaissance Photographers to fly in the famous B-36 aircraft missions over Korea during the Korean conflict. He loved racing and everything Ford. Known for some time as the Karb King, he was an unstoppable force in the Colorado and Utah drag-racing scenes with his hand-built ford flathead dragster and later in the stock car racing scene with his son Kory Pasquin and the supermodified racing scene with his son Jim Pasquin. John also built a go-kart that went on to compete at the national championship level. He was a key contributor to the US film industry through the 1970s and 1980s having worked for PAKO Corp and Transamerica. In his later years, John helped sons Kory and Jim create and run Quality Parts, a provider of tractor-trailer cooling parts and services. He was also an inventor, accumulating patents in the film development industry as well as several personal inventions.

John was preceded in death by his parents Albina J. Pasquin and Joseph F. Pasquin, brother Ezio Pasquin, sister Ines (William) Gassino and son Kory Pasquin.

John is survived by his siblings Julia (Mike) Scarafiotti, August (Naomi) Pasquin, Carl (Grace) Pasquin, Catherine (Mike) DeBono, son Jim Pasquin, daughter Suzie (Carl) Williams, grandson Anthony Pasquin and granddaughters Tory Pasquin and Karly Madson.

John was the greatest! A man of so many wonderful talents and skills! A man far beyond time, though to have been so lucky to have had him in our lifes for so many wonderful years and as well the things he has done for all us, he was like a father to me. We will all miss him dearly.

Wouldn't know where to begin for one. Way too many adventures, and it all happened all in the 43 year's. My son Kolby and I really enjoyed the visit's with John and the knowledge that he would share and talk about just goes on and on . My Heart since the new's of his passing has been very heavy. But I know he is in a better place. But I know we'll see each other again. Don't like Good Byes so take care John.
