John H. Paul

Boise, ID - Age 62, passed away peacefully at his home in Boise, Idaho on March 21, 2022 with his loving wife, Debi, by his side. John was a 1978 graduate of Mariemont High School. John's adventurous spirit led him to McCall, Idaho, which was his home for many years. He loved fishing, hiking, camping, diving, bicycling down the California coast most summers, and traveling to new places. John was an awesome husband to Debi, brother to Sophie and Cecily (Mike), uncle to Zoe, Martha, Ryan and Matthew, stepdad to Tiger and Sunny, grandpa to Miriah and Malia, and friend to many. He will be missed by all who knew him. For anyone who would like to join in celebration of John and his life, there will be an online memorial gathering scheduled in the near future.

John was cousin to my husband, Mark Steinkamp. They went on fishing trips together as kids. As adults, they often met up in Michigan for vacation.
Over the years, whenever I saw John, we always had a good time. I enjoyed his easy-to-be-with nature.
Glad to know him. So sorry for your loss, we will miss him.
Here's a picture of John, Mark, Mike and Matt (Mark's twin).
Love, Cathy

My deepest condolences Debbie and all of John's family and friends. John was a close friend for 40 years. We had many adventures together. My fondest memories were the bicycle trips we took around the country and the wilderness canoe and fishing trips. You well be sorely missed My dear brother.
May God grant you rest.
Memory eternal!
