John Paulus

John Paulus of Berkeley, Illinois passed away April 25, 2022. John was the devoted son of the late Arthur and Betty Paulus, dear brother of the late Robert Paulus. He is survived by his sister, Jeanine Bogacki and her husband Robert.

John was a loving father of Johnnie and wife Angela, along with his late daughter Kerri; loving uncle to Julie and Daniel; grandfather ("Pop-Pop") to Christa and Rachel.

John joined the navy in 1965 and proudly served his country for 4 years. He was stationed at Mayport, Florida while starting his own family in Jacksonville, Florida.

Retiring from Bellsouth after 35 years, John relocated to Berkeley, Illinois to care for and support family.

John enjoyed being with people and was particularly fond of the grandkids. He loved riding motorcycles for recreation and never knew a stranger with his fellow bikers. He was a regular participant in motorcycle rides benefiting those in need especially children. John also had a passion for tools and was ready to help neighbors whenever they asked. In most recent years, he found peace spending time in the north woods of Wisconsin.
